The storyline within the film exhibits this. Chaplin’s tramp falls in like with Merna, who returns his affection. Then, a tightrope walker named Rex (performed by Henry Bergman) comes on to the scene and Merna right away falls in like with him. Why? Due to the fact his act is daring and dangerous although Chaplin’s clown act has fewer prestige.
